The Guy Sub-Let A Room To Me Refused To Do A Check Out Now Claiming £2500 For Floor Replacement
10 Answers
Have a situation here hope someone can give me some advise. I vacated a room as a lodger and the day I moved out I asked the guy who sublet the room to me to have a proper check out of my room see if it's OK. But he refused to do it even he himself at the property. I explain the important of having a proper check before left and hand back the key to him, but he insisted he was busy, don't want to check it. Then, I took pictures of my room and the room was clean and condition was fine. I gave him back the house key. After one week, he sent me some pictures said there were some scratches and damages on the wooden floor of my room and said will claim for £2,500 of replacing it. If not pay, he will file a small claim in court. Don't know what to do? Thanks in advance for any advice.
