Tefal is the name of a brand of cookware.....Teflon is an accepted name for PTFE, the anti-stick coating that is applied to their non-stick ware.
The coating on the pan that minty has linked to is 3-layer ILAG...a ceramic coating with excellent non-stick properties.
Many people avoid PTFE coating, because they contain the element fluorine....personally, I'd opt for ceramic instead....we have several items of ceramic-coated cookware and they are excellent.

Yes....probably better than Teflon (and other PTFE coatings) and last better, too....
