Bedding For Small Single Bed

Am thinking of put a small double bed in my spare room but was thinking what duvet sets to buy.

Ive only seen them sold in single, double, king or queen so what do i buy for a small double?

We are in the same position if by small double you mean 4ft bed? If so several of the major retailers do duvet sets in 'small double' for that size bed

Darcey....I don't know the size of a small double but I always have the size up from the bed.
My single has a double duvet....my king a super king...so I'd measure if I were you and go a good bit larger...
Nothing worse than turning over and exposing a bare bum to the cold night air.... :-)

I agree that the size of a duvet set will depend on the size of the duvet you buy, I always buy a larger size than the bed too and buy a sheet separately.

We always oversize our duvet's too, as Gness says nothing worse than something that's a bit less than you'd hope for :) x

Thanks everyone will probably just get a double, its the bottom sheet im most concerned about as i like the boxed corners which will probably be too big.

Suppose I'll have to jyst get flat sheets and fold them around, I'm just being lazy!

Those who were brought up with "duvets" from infancy to well into adulthood (i.e. non-Brits abroad) buy the standard units and always stick to this size - more or less a single (135x200cm) - with predominantly down filling. People choose the sort of pillow(s) (abroad normally only one) that suits them and buy covers to fit (again standard there), and then a sheet to fit the bed they sleep on - only one sheet of course, to sleep on (absolutely no sheet on top).
