IKEA would be my first port of call.

Any retailers where you don't have to assemble yourself ?
Bazile most furniture will come flat packed, if you are not able to do it yourself, hire a local handyman for a couple of hours to assemble for you.
Furniture assembled from store is normally quite expensive and still then assembled on site, getting all the pieces through doors and up stairs is just not practical.
Good link Canary, never had to use that service.

You just need to pull yourself together.
John Lewis and M&S spring to mind.
I bought some really nice shelves and side tables from the range we did have to assemble them but no probs and the customer service was very good when they sent one of the wrong colour ,they reordered and refunded delivery money .
Forget John Lewis - their customer service is truly awful. I speak from personal sagas on more than one occasion.
Lol.
