Cayenne Chillies.

I have a great crop of cayenne chillies that are now turning bright red. I noticed today that there are now new buds/nodes starting to grow, will these turn into flowers and then a second crop of chillies ?.

provided it stays warm and sunny enough

If I had a great crop, I think I would remove side shoots / axillary buds, to ensure energy is channeled towards the existing, developing fruits.
