Blocked Toilet
34 Answers
I noticed the bathroom sink was running water away slowly. Then I noticed the toilet although working seems to have some sort of blockage. It runs clear and then a small amount of residue is in the bottom of the bowl. I've plunged with the mop put loads of bleach down. Buckets of cold and boiling water. All to no avail. The u been is situated behind files so not able to get to it. Can anyone help ?

A mop wont do much unless you cover it with polythene. What you need to do to improve your plunger is put a bin bag round the mop head and secure it by wrapping some tape around the mop handle. Cut away the excess bin bag and you then have a plunger of sorts. This will give you more compression .. honest !
Now flush the toilet and when the water fills the pan, then force the mop into the base of the bowl quite rapidly a few times. Keep an eye on the binbag as you dont want this coming off. Try this and let us know how you get on.
