Extension Lead Problem

I have a six gang extension cable that has been working well. This morning my tv would not turn and the light next to the socket it was plugged in to was not lit. I plugged it into another socket on the same lead and it turned on.
Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to repair the extension lead? Should I buy a new lead?

These days something, probably the EU, has decreed that these things aren't openable to fix. In a sane world you could check the inside. In our present world you may wish to consider buying a replacement as you have no idea what the cause of the problem is.

I'll order one now, OG. Can't really take risks with electrics. Thanks for pushing me :)
I'd just stick some tape over the duff socket to remind me not to use it and use the other 5.
OG, you seem a bit grumpy tonight. Are you OK?

Please don't take this the wrong way - but if you need to ask, then buy a new one.
