I need to buy an energy saving bayonet light bulb for a hippy Moroccan table lamp. I am keen to not get anything which is going to melt it or set it on fire. I have a bulb here which is energy-saving and says for what on it. I’m not sure what the equivalent is? Any ideas?

Er, is that predictive text taking over by any chance? "4 watt, perhaps?". If so (and assuming that it's an LED lamp), it might provide roughly 220 lumens, which is much the same as a traditional 25 watt bulb would do:

Yes sorry, it’s my dictaphone on my phone. The bulb says 4W, 220–240V non-dimmable. I don’t think it’s LED, it looks like a normal lightbulb shape with four long yellow poles inside it, all pointing upwards.
If it's only 4 watts, and a 'standard' shape, it's almost certainly an LED bulb:

That’s the one! Think it’s okay for a frail painted lampshade? Guess I’ll find out soon !
The whole point about low-energy bulbs is that they convert far more of the electricity to light, and far less to heat, than traditional incandescent bulbs used to. So they always 'run cool', meaning that there should be no risks or problems with using that bulb in your lamp.
