I loved it; light, easy to manoeuvre and sucked the carpet like a demon. Unfortunately, it developed a fault and died.
We think it might have needed a new battery (we had no idea how long M-i-L had owned it) but at over £60 we were reluctant to buy one only to find that the fault was elsewhere in the appliance.
I am still debating over whether to just bite the bullet and buy a brand new one....

After getting frustrated with my gTech, I bought a Shark. Not cordless. I found that while it is excellent for cleaning...getting up copious amounts of pet hair...it was was too heavy and cumbersome for me. It doesn't stand on its own and needs to lean on something. Whose bright design idea was that??
I've gone back to the gTech plus a hand held.

Jackdaw, Dyson offer full servicing for many of their machines. Its dearer than just buying a battery but they guarantee to fix the machine includng all parts, labour and shipping to them and back to you.
