Have Bosch Logixx 8 VarioPerfect Washing Machine it was just finishing a 60 degree Towel programme when up came Error 57 on Digital Panel, would spin , cannot open the door to release the wet items. No error 57 given in my Instruction Book. Any help would be much appreciated. Dave.

I've looked in the manual for my Bosch washing machine and there's no reference to your error code in it - they say to contact Customer Services for error codes not in the manual.
My first attempt is always to check the filter via the door at the bottom-front of the machine. It's amazing how many problems cleaning the filter can fix and it's free. Just be prepared for water spillage.

When this happened with my washer( not a Bosch) I ran 'drain' and this released the door lock.

When that happened to my washing machine a year or two ago, I dunted the door and it opened, no problems since.
