there is mascara like stuff building up around on shower head and from the tap but the part where the swizzle meets the solid bit and not from the tap with the water if you get me
it is like mascara almost
what is it and what should i do

Clean it off. Maybe.

From your description I suspect you are correct by identifying it as mould. Remove in much the same way as you would were it on tiles/grouting or bath sealant. Either buy a commercial mould product, or try a bleach solution (watch out for your clothes etc.).
