Does anyone know of any websites or companies specialising in properties for sale that require refurbishment, rennovation or general doing up?

Not sure where you live, but if you're in the States, you can try most any realtor's website... try www.century21.com for example... usually you can find situations where people can't afford the upkeep on their houses, and are willing to sell cheap... then you go in, bust out some repairs, and sell for profit.
