Has anyone hired a "rug doctor" from Homebase to clean their carpets? If so did it work?

I did a few months ago, really cheap and brilliant results. I had a beige rug and it brought it up spotless

I used rug doctor before, and it wass great - i hired a wet/dry vac this weekend to do the carpets, and it was useless. Rug Doctor is the best I have found, and from experience!
