Paint Question.

My daughter Clara is 1‘5“ tall due to her having dwarfism. She is six years old.

We are actually in the process of painting her room right now and she was wanting to help us with painting. Is there a way that Clara could help us?

For safety reasons she cannot do the top parts but she could help by painting the lower part of the walls, even buy her a low ladder.

She is obviously too small to hold a fully loaded paint roller, so why not give her a section of lower wall to paint using a radiator roller such as the one below;

Have you checked what size paintbrush or roller she can hold? Maybe even the smallest is too big for her.
If you find one- no point in doing part of a wall so maybe stick to skirting boards... or light switches if you have a ladder and safety harness or can hold her up.
Maybe just let her stir the paint or sandpaper the old skirting board or wash the brushes.
She's lucky to have someone trying to give her all these experiences at 6- at that age I done no decorating, horse riding, had no dog to walk...

The best I could do for the sake of safety hold her up if she needs to pay anything higher.

A paint roller might be a bit much for her loaded with paint, and too wide for her to grab with her hand

Mask up the skirting boards, show her how to load and use a small paintbrush.

Let her have a go.

If necessary, clean and repaint after she has gone to bed.

The next morning praise her for doing a great job.

1ozzy, that could probably work, or painting baseboards. I could even take off some light switch covers that we will be painting and let her do those.

She would be brilliant at doing the skirting boards, and places like under windows where adults get back ache from the bending.
She could Use a small gloss roller as it would probably be Ok in small hands
