( Geminox, yes )However, all boilers produced in the last few years have lighting instructions attached to either the drop-down bottom panel, or behind the removable front panel. Also, most boilers are electronic ignition nowadays, meaning you do not light manually.
If the property has been empty, and the boiler has not been in use for some time, there is a possibility of a slight amount of air in the gas supply, so be patient.
May I suggest that,should you have no success with boiler ignition, you contact the previous owner to find out who carried out the maintenance on the boiler. Should the response be negative, arrange for a CORGI registered engineer to inspect the boiler, you will then find out if the boiler is in good working order, or not. It may also be advisable to arrange a maintenance contract, should you be happy with the engineer's service.
