what do i do to cure a water logged back lawn please????

If you have a high water table then you can only lay land drains. If the problem is that rain drains away slowly, then it may be that you have a clay layer in the soil, in which case adding gravel or clinker will help to improve the drainage.

i had a similar problem,and ended up decking over it and put a lot of gravel around,so far so good.
