I have a three year old sofa with very soft cushions, the type you are supposed to plump up every day (needless to say I haven't done this). They now sag in the middle - I have even had to put another cushion underneath - but I really want to put a harder cushion inside. Any ideas where I can buy a good quality one? I have found a company that sell them, but they are 200 for four of their top range which is a bit much. Thanks ev eryone

Do you have a 'foam' shop near you? Have a look in yellow pages. You can take one of your cushion covers to them and they'll cut foam to fit. You should be able to choose the firmness of the foam. Cost me 25 per cushion.

Hi Judie - We used to have the same problem with our 3 seater sofa & armchairs, as the back cushions were filled with feathers. It used to drive us potty having to plump them up every time anyone sat down, even for a few minutes!

We contacted a local upholsterer who made us some new cushions to fit inside - the job was done & we have had no further problems since!

P.S. The bottom seat cushions were never a problem & have always kept their shape, as they were made from a dense sponge. The new back cushions are now made from a very thick wadding type filling & we never have to plump them. Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone, I will look in yellow pages. Smudge, I hope your PC is a little faster now with all that advice ... mine seems OK now, I deleted loads of stuff.

Yes thank you Judie, I did too & it appears to be working a lot faster today, thank goodness!
