How much does it cost to build a house?

I have no experience of building myself whatsoever but would like to know if their are any compnaies out there who will do the whole project for you from start to finish? I am after a 3 bedroom basic detached house.

Have you got the land with planning permission? If you have you shouldn't have any problem getting a quote from a reputeable buider (yes there are lots of them) I would think obviously dependant on which part of the uk you are in and how far away mains services are, if you allowed between �150,000 and �200,000 you could build a superb house. or is it just a question?

Work on �1000 per square metre of floor area in the house, plus the cost of the plot. This is very ballpark because there are a huge number of variables. But it will give you a clue.
