What to hang from a Rowan?

I have a great Rowan tree and next year I fancied hanging some baskets off it but what to put in them? anything I can start growing now?

Its a bit early to start bedding plants for next summer yet but apart from the normal hanging basket flowers like Surfinias , Lobelias, Petunias and Fushias why not try trailing Nastursians . They are very easy to grow spread like mad dont mind it if its a bit dry as it will be under the tree and if the soil is poor they produce more flowers so you could save on fertilizer they can be grown outside in the ground from March onwards and then transplanted to where they are to flower when they are big enough you can even use the flowers in your salads as a decoration
