For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.ron, The tap replacement should have had no effect on the temperature of the stored water in the cylinder,( this temperature, being produced by your boiler, should be same as before, providing you have not adjusted any controls ).
How did you turn off the water to enable you to change the tap ? If you turned the water off at the mains, this would mean that you possibly ran off all your existing hot water, meaning that your boiler then has to heat the water in the cylinder from " stone cold ". If you have the hot water on timer, and your heating is also on, it is possible that you have not allowed enough time to enable the water to reach normal tempurature.
If you think this is a possible explanation, set your programmer to "water only" for a hour or so, then test your water tempurature.
