For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.beryllium, If the quote states that the engineer will introduce a cleansing agent into the system a few days before actually flushing the system ( by using a " powerflush - unit " ), then introducing a suitable inhibitor into the system once the powerflushing has proved satisfactory, for a 7 - 10 radiator system, the answer is that � 400 is indeed a good quote.

thank you buildersmate, we have bled the radiators, as they were noisy ******* and cold at the top, actually 1/2 way down they were cold, and that has helped tremendously. The water was filthy, but now it's clear. I'm presuming by sludge, you're talking about in the bottoms of the radiators?
all told, the whole system we are installing is around �5800 and thats without replacing our old radiators....
