Thanks dosset, i'm going through some books, but as a thought, if you know the name of the hotel, give them a ring, i'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you out, better still, i'm curious, post back with the name, and i'll ring them.

have got in touch with the hotel but staff do not know the flower .i will call and see their gardener tomorrow and get back to you(pity there is not a facility to post pictures on answerbank)
