All you'll need is a pump, the relevent flexi pipework and the pools for the waterfall (either from a liner or preformed watercourse). Of course you'll need an electric supply for the pump plus any decorative edging around the pools.

You could even incorporate a small fishmate filter and UV into the system.

Hope this helps a bit

you will need

good quality butyl liner for the main pond

either butyl liner or pre-formed liner for the header pool (if u want a waterfall)

butyl liner for the waterfall (or pre-formed waterfall sections)

sand (to line the hole)

underliner (to prevent punctures in the liner)

powerbreaker

powercable

junction box with switches

pond pump (capable of powering fountain and the waterfall)

filter (with uvc light)

planting baskets

aquatic soil

gravel

plants

fish

your probably looking at around 500-1000 quid as a rough guess.

building a pond doesn't have to be daunting, its worth buying yourself a book on pond construction before you start. one little tip, dont make it too small like i did, especially with the pre-formed liners, they look massive out of the ground and tiny in it.4 ft across is a bit small but will suffice for a few goldfish.

if you want koi carp you will have to re-think the whole thing as they need a pond 4 ft deep and about 8ft by 8ft across. they also need better filtration etc.
