If you take a reading of your meter everyday for say 10 days then contact your supplier with these, they should be able to tell you if there is any problems with your meter :)

done that slooow they said readings were ok my bill last quarter almost 300pounds and i was sat in cold turning gas of

do you mean 321,000? not 32,100.0?

that would be a 6,000 bill at 2p per kwh!

That would most definately not be normal

Question Author
i paid average 640pounds last 12months but really not even been warm over winter
Have to agree with jake-the-peg about you maybe having one too many zeros in your consumption figure. My 2-bed semi with full heating uses about 45000Kwh and most of that is used during a Scottish winter.
Either that or you have a serious problem somewhere.

I'd suspect a problem with your central heating more than one with your meter.

But anything's possible

i live in a 3 bedroom house with gas central heating our gas bill for the last 12 months was 350. i do think there might be something wrong with your meter

Well considering the last post, I also live in a 3 bedroom house, have just has a modern boiler fitted, and my last QUARTERLY was nearly 270.00!!
maybe my meter is wrong then?! i'm not gonna complain!! we pay roughly 80 a quarter for our gas usage
