does anyone know how much electric the electrical outdoor heaters use? anyone got one and regreting it?

They are cheaper to run than calor gas and are probably safer. According to manufacturers' claims they are 75 -90% cheaper.


And they can't run out of fuel!


As they don't give out any smells or emissions of any kind they can also be used indoors, so are more versatile.


I would not like to leave one out in the rain though.


Depends on the power consumption (wattage) of the heater. A 3kW heater will cost 3 units + tax to run for an hour; a unit is around �0.10. Cost = wattage (kW) * time (hrs) * unit price. That's if the heater is on all the time, which, considering it's going to be outdoors, will be most of the time, (because it's thermostatically controlled).
