I had a ceiling fan in my last flat which was in an old house, it was attatched to the ceiling joists. I have since moved to a modern flat but when my son-in-law tried to fix my fan to the new ceilng he discovered it was concrete, he says because of this I can't have one fitted. Are there any builders out there who can think of a way around this problem...
