Hi all,
The young lad who lives at the back of my property uses my back garden as his right of way, as he is wanted by most of the neighbours & also the police & can not leave via his front path. I've put trellising up, put a garden security light up & put a big bolt & padlock on back gate & this hasn't stopped him! I asked the police if i could put up anti vandal climb paint/grease they told me i can do this as long as it is not effecting passers by, which it wouldn't be. My problem is i can not find anywhere, where i can purchase this product.........does anyone know of a place? many thanks

Try this website
Try planting a very prickly hedge
It's not very pleasant, but I once knew someone who got around this problem very quickly by spreading cat faeces along the top of the fence.
I had this problem some years ago, and used Fruit Tree grease, it worked,
I know it sounds ridiculous but it might be worth putting a sign up saying "caution, grease on fence" or whatever....just to cover your backside.

You know what an ass the law is in this country, i gaurantee you that if the grease gets on his best Nike hoodie, it'll be you in the dock charged with aggrivated assult or criminal damage or something.

Can't you tell the neighbours about his route out and let them wait there for him ???

I wish you the best of luck

Hammerman give good advice.

Look here...

It definitely says that if anyone was injured, even when trespassing, they can claim against you. So if you follow pinkflower's advice, tread carefully (pardon the pun!)

Why is the law such an ass in this country?? Or is that another thread altogether...
Maybe you could ask your police for advice on protetcing your property, most forces have community officers who would be able to tell you what you can and cannot do, if they won't do anything to stop him they might be willing to advise how to secure your place.
Might be work a go??
I had a young lad climbing my fence as a short cut, I warned him but he carried on, like PinkFlowers friend I put carpet gripper up, he hasnt been over since.
I'm wondering if there any downsides to using anti-climb paint? - for example if this lad does try and climb into your garden and gets this stuff all over him will he then wipe it over your property and make a nice mess for you to clean up?

I'm thinking of using it, but am worried about it getting wiped on exterior walls, and possibly my car in an act of revenge.
