I have just put my house up for sale but as yet had no interest. I have seen adverts from companies who guarantee to buy any property. I am sceptical about approaching them for fear of being 'hassled and ripped off'. Whats the catch? If it was so easy wouldn't everyone sell there properties to such companies

The catch is they only offer you a per centage of the market value - sometimes only 70%.

These companies are fine in certain situations where you need to sell very quickly - facing repossession for example.

They have to make their money, and they do that by selling on at the proper value.
