Crape Myrtle not flowering

My crape myrtle was planted March 2005. It gets full sun from about 11:00 am till sunset. Last summer and again this summer it has not flowered. What could be the problem?

Full sun is the main requirement, preferably against a sunny south facing wall.
I prefers a acid to nutral soil but dislikes a chalky soil.
The best time to prune is in spring after any frosts.
Sorry I cant think of anything else but if any of the above are lacking, that could be the answer.

Surprised to hear about the acid soil -- they are everywhere in our town which is very alkaline. We can't grow azaleas or camelias, but we have lots of crape myrtle.

They like it kinda dry - could you be overwatering?

If you've been pruning, that would be my bet for the problem.
