What is the best way to attach reed fencing to a brick wall? Our neighbour has just built a new brick wall but it is only about 2 - 3ft high and as much as we like them we wouldn't mind a bit of privacy!

We have permission to do it but I really don't want to start demolishing their wall by accident! Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Be very careful ...get the permission in writing first

One way would be to fix two horizontal battens to the wall, then fix the screen with small fencing staples
Good advice above.......remember it's HIS wall and presumably on HIS property. so try and resolve any potential irritation as amicably as possible.
If your neighbour doesn't mind some extra height on his dividing wall, perhaps you could offer to pay for it to be built a little higher ? It would cost you more than erecting a some reed fencing but might be a little more attractive to look at.

Have already bought the reed fencing! He has given us permission and is a very nice man - I just want to know what the best method would be to cause the least damage to his wall. Thanks for the answers!
