I am about to have my bathroom decorated and one of my wife's requirements is she wants the ability to watch TV in there. I know electrics and water don't mix too well but I know it is possible. Any suggestions as to how I can achieve this would be most grateful.

It strikes me that a part of the TV (the screen) will be in the bathroom and (a) subject to the steam decondensing and going wrong or blowing up or shorting the electrics and (b) still carrying electricity and therefore dangerous.

I think you should forget the idea.
Tell her to hurry up and watch it in front room
Appliances in the bathroom have to be IP rated. There are different IP ratings required depending how close to the water. I don't know of any IP-rated TV.
The hotel I stayed in Las Vegas last year had a TV in the bathroom!
Get a small TV and a little tea trolley on wheels and plug the TV set into a socket on the landing. Then leave the bathroom door open and let her watch the TV out there from her bath.

Why can't she just settle for having a little battery radio in the bathroom.? Really, TV doesn't have the monopoly on interesting programmes.
There are some water-proof tv's on ebay however they only have a 5 inch screen and cost around 160.

They do come with remote control though and even scart if she wants a DVD player in there aswell!!
I've seen some on TV that are the size and shape of a tile, and when they are turned off they just look like a mirror!

Thankyou to Heffalump for what I was after. Of course I wouldn't compromise safety for the sake of Big Brother!
How about tv on the landing positioned so you can see it on a mirror in the bathroom!
