Is there such a thing as square plugholes and a square plug?

Yes, you get them from your regular hardware store. They are often found on the shelf between the skyhooks and the long weights.
They have moved them now, they are with the fork handles.
very nears the spare bubbles for spirit levels and the wire mesh watering cans
interesting....I think you'll all find though, that they are now next to the Elbow Grease....hahaha

To be serious for a sec :) plugs are round so the plug can't fall down the hole (on its side) - same reason manhole covers are round.
