just been watching tv and see that the licence is going up and that the beeb arent happy with it only being 3% in next 3 years, and they were basically saying that its because of high contract payments that they want it increased more, the name they mentioned was that of jonathon ross and the fact that he has an 18 million pound contract, is it just me or do others think that the amount is disgusting, what on eartth can justify that amount, what exactly does he do for that????

I know to some my actions may seem extreme but it is because of the constant increase to the T.V. licence that my aerial has been removed. That and the growing number of (so-called) reality programmes was just the incentive I needed to rid my life of this banality. I found the whole of t.v. transmissions becoming repetitive and could find more entertainment in various hobbies.
Jonathon Ross,Noel Edmonds,Terry Wogan,Russell Harty,Michael Parkinson,Des O'Connor and many other presenters all have their time but why Mr. Ross commands such a fee is anyone's guess.
They should sack the BBC official who agreed to the salaries of these overhyped stars. The people receiving these salaries are unlikely to turn them down!
If I had a licence I would write and complain...
