snowball bush (tree) ?

i haven't been getting any flowers for the last few years
any sugestions, feed etc, it's located in a large tub.

Hi annsie, I believe this is a variety of Viburnum plicatum you have, more of a shrubby bush than a tree, approx 5-6ft.

It likes a sunny position to light shade and does not require any pruning but any strong vertical shoots coming from the base sould be removed as they will spoil the shape of it's horizontal teared effect.

Any good soil will do chalky or acid, it's not fussy but it does need to have good drainage.
The roots are shallow therefore it's a good idea to keep it mulched in spring and autumn to prevent the roots from drying out.

Use a slow reliese granular fertilizer at manufacturers recomended intervals.
If it's been in the same pot for a few years, it may have out-grown it and it could be time for a bigger pot ?

Can't you put it into the ground, seems cruel to keep it in a tub. if it's not flowering, it's not happy and that's the same for all plants. It'll love you for it...
