paint a fire surround

i would like to paint a brass fire surround and grate. what paint should be used as obviously this gets very hot.

You can get black heat resistant paint. If you can't find any, you can also get black spray paint for use on motorbike exhaust systems.

The paint can be found in shops that sell woodburning stoves if you have a local shop. It does work very well.
