At the risk of sounding really sad, I wonder if anyone knows how to remove glue from carpets. I have dropped glue, the really strong instant bonding type, onto a really expensive new carpet. It has dried rock solid. I would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Hi Booklover, I've tried this on chewing gum on carpet and it worked.....might be worth a try??

Put a sheet of greaseproof paper over the glue, then an old piece of quite thin cotton (something like a handkerchief maybe) then put hot steam iron on it, the glue should stick to the greaseproof paper. If its bad might need a couple of goes

Good luck!!
