Use of an Aquaball in Washing Machines

Aquaball 'The Aquaball is an environmentally friendly alternative to laundry detergent'. Has anybody tried it? Opinion?

Yes. Sadly I found that it didn't work, much as I wanted it to. It was okay for things that only really want freshening ie tea towels, perhaps towels generally if washed regularly but for sweaty things, bedsheets etc it didn't leave them clean smelling and it didn't remove dirt like collar rings although I do understand that you should use it with a stain treatment. As there are only two of us and I do mixed loads, I sadly decided that it wasn't worth the faff

I agree with woofgang only useful for things that were pretty clean anyway. As I can't be bothered sorting out items for washing into different loads it was pretty hopeless.

Actually i think it works! Especially good on nappies!

Oh and to leave a nice smell i put a couple of drops of essential oil in the softener compartment. I like geranium for duvets!

i was looking at these myself but the cost put me off. I did buy the dryer balls that are supposed to soften and reduce drying time. These work.
