I have a Ash tree 30 years plus. Half of which is bearing leaves the other half is not. Its the first time this has been encountered

Any sugestions on curing problem?

A few questions first-

I s the tree shaded on one side ?

Have any chemicals been used near-by ?

Are there any signs or abnormalities ie fungi,staining etc ?
