cushion covers

hi there i know this amy seem a bit of a stupid 1 but my 2 piece suite has removable covers with zips and si can take them off to wash but the problem is the cushion at the back has zips but it has buttons pushed through it so i dont know how to get them off so y put zips on them ? does anyone know how to get them off as im sure the zips are on there for a reason.

Not quite sure what you mean when you say it has buttons.
I can only think it is like scatter cushions that I had a while ago. The buttons unscrew from the front to the back to allow for washing. Look to see if they unscrew and if they do, wash the cushions and replace the buttons in the same postion as they were.
