Nain varnish removal

Help - can anyone suggest how to remove nail varnish from cotton. My grandaughter managed to get dark nail varnish on her brand new white trousers.

I know in robert dyas you can get the stain devils for different stains so it may be worth taking a look in there.

Tried that and it does not work!
