Selling my house
5 Answers
I am selling my house and included in the sale was an integrated dishwasher. This has just broken and we move next week. Do I have to get this fixed or just leave it. I really do not want to fix this as he did not pay full asking price for the property? Other than that he is getting a lovely property

It doesn't matter how much he paid - the fact is you accepted his offer and he accepted your terms.
The dishwasher will be in black and white so it will be very easy for him to seek redress.
You have two options - get it fixed now, or inform him that the dishwasher has broken, and see where he wants to go with it.

HI, i had an innocent problem lke yours, i sold a beautiful house which included some furniture, i got a letter from my solicitor with a bill for a mirror i had included in the sale particulars but that was broken for 300 !!! It was not broken when i left !!! I decided to go a diffrent way with the problem and instructed my solicitor that i did not wish for him to deal with this matter on my behalf and that he was forbidden to pass on my forwarding address to the other party, he was not at all happy with this but appaerntly was not allowed to pass on my details without my permission.....without an address to send a bill to etc the other side had nowhere to go with it, 6 years later i still have not heard a thing !! sod the dishwasher you can always play innocent !! all the best chuck xx
