Mould Issues
1 Answers
Hi
Im currently renting a flat in a renovated church. The walls are all built from solid stone and so dont have any damp course. We have lived ni this property since June 2007, since November 2007 we started getting damp on the living room walls, which forms part of the old arch of the church windows. This has progressively gotten worse to the point of it has now spread down the wall into our bedroom (the window reaches into the lower floor bedrooms). It is a white mould on top of dark stains and covers the walls around the windows. It has gptten so much worse over tha last month. If i wipe it off it is back by the next morning but worse and spread.
2 things i would like advice on...
1) Has anyone had this kind of thing? If so what needed to be done
2) We have asked our landlord to have this looked at since Nov 2007. They have never even been round to look, we are both concerned as we have both got bad chests at the moment ans living in this can't be good. Is there anyway this is suitable for asking for a rental rebate or decrease due to the extra costs of dehumdifiers etc. Where do we stand
Thanks in anticipation ! :-)
