Removing paint from glass

My neighbour recently had the back of her house painted and the builder has managed to pebble-dash all 3 of my ground floor windows with specks of yellow paint. Does anyone have any idea how to get this off, without destroying the glass ? There is no point in me trying to get her to pay for the repair, as she refused to even admit her builder had caused it. We do not see eye to eye. Thank-you

Hi Silver you can get razor blade type holder scrapers from paint or B&Q outlet and just scrape it off could be a bit long winded but it should work try a a small area first but it shouldn't mark the glass HTH Tez

Hi All,

What a fantastic response - thank-you all so much. I will follow all the good advice at the week-end and fingers crossed it will come off. I wish I could find a way to convince her to take responsibility for this, but she will not. All it would have taken to avoid this, was some warning, some newspaper and blue-tac and my windows would have been protected. Sadly she is not the type to ever consider her neighbours.

to answer your question, this will work.

you can get specialist glass scrapers that wont scratch glass; they are called HALOGEN HOB glass scrapers (designed for halogen hob tops - but they are fine on windows too), any others may scratch the glass.

use this and a bit of WD40 on the window. and it will work a dream. you will have to clean the windows after though, as WD40 is lubricant based.
