I need to know if you are able to put underground a electric supply thing. I will describe what it looks like. Its abour 40ft hight made from 2 wooden poles (like telegraph poles) with barbed wire 10 feet up & an grey larhe box in the middle joing the to poles. at the top there are the glass discs. I do not know the correct term for this object. Has anyone had one moved or replaced beore ..if you can that is. TIA

sounds like a transformer, sometimes housed in small enclosure at ground level, unlikely to be put underground.Contact your power supply company, but unlikely they will move it,and IF they are prepared to expect a horrendous cost.

Ta....thats why we keep getting vague answers from the vender then !!!!
yep sounds like a pole top transformer to me. I doubt that you will be able to get this moved and if you did its going to cost a serious amount of money.
