Paving

I intend to have my small back garden paved. What materials would I need to buy apart from the slabs? And should the end product have a slight slope to allow drainage?

It depends on the paving technique. But you will probably need mortar (readymix will serve), certainly sand, and various tools including shovels and levelling lines. It's normally wise to allow a slight drainage slope, preferably away from the house.
