Gas fire

Can anyone recommend a good heat output gas fire for a large through room ? prefer one with life like coals on

do you want an inset type fire or an outset one?

outset fires are always going to give out the most heat but arent in fashion at the moment.

if you want an inset one then we usually reccommend a valor with a top control such as the valor dream. they cost about �350 but are so much better quality than the crap you can buy at b and q.

The Valor Dream Fireslide, inset live fuel effect gas fire as gucciman suggested is one of the best around and at 6.85Kw it comes with a choice of Brass, Chrome or Black fronts and is perfect for you're requirements. Do not go for anything bigger than 7Kw or else you will have to provide extra ventilation that means putting an air vent in to the wall of the room it is going in and then you will have draught problems.
