Is there a brightness difference between the LED lamps and the LV lamps

Both LED's and LV lights are available in different brightness's.

An ultra bright LED might be brighter than a low powered LV Light, but a high power LV light could be brighter than a low intensity LED
For the same input wattage then, yes, LEDs are a lot brighter because they are more efficient at converting electrical power into light.

But LEDs are not yet available in light outputs that mimic the 50W lamps, and probably do not yet even approach the 20W types.

But the technology is advancing fast.
I had one light in the middle of my kitchen and replaced it with 15 GU10 LED spotlights in the ceiling and I get plenty of light from them and each LED lamp is 4 watts so 60 watts of cool blue light does the trick for me....
