Anyone got anything good to say about a company that does kitchens

I'm looking for a new kitchen,or an adaptation of an existing one,and would like recommendations. Are there any well-known firms that haven't been slagged off?

I am having a block paved drive laid next month and am using the guy simply because he made such a brilliant job of my sister's driveway.
So my advice is to go on recommendations and where possible ask to see examples of their work.

Yeah, that's obviously the best way, but I am not as lucky as you as I don't know anybody in the building trade other than the guys that messed up my last house ,and I have never heard of anyone who has been recommended.
All the people I know who have had alterations and bulding work done locally have had their own horror story so I am at a bit of a loss, and quite frankly scared to employ anyone which is the reason for my initial question.
It's a great shame as I feel I should be excited about my new house and the things I want to change but I am dreading it.
