Does anybody know if you can park in front of a dropped kerb outside a house?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yes of course, parking on the pavement is not only illegal, but ignorant to wheel chair users, etc. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing people having to endanger their lives by having to go in the road, just because some bright spark thought it would be okay to obstruct the pavement. I meant it would probably be okay to park on the road, if it is drop down kerb, directly outside a brick walled garden, but not to actually park on the pavement, or on the special ramps for the disabled, etc.
Parking in front of any dropped kerb is illegal, whether it is in front of a drive or not. This includes dropped kerbs near the end of side roads intended to make crossing easier for pedestrians.
It is even illegal to park in front of your own drive, although if there were no other restrictions you would be unlucky to get a ticket.
