Does anybody know if you can park in front of a dropped kerb outside a house?

I meant it would probably be okay to park on the road, if it is drop down kerb, directly outside a brick walled garden, but not to actually park on the pavement, or on the special ramps for the disabled, etc.
Parking in front of any dropped kerb is illegal, whether it is in front of a drive or not. This includes dropped kerbs near the end of side roads intended to make crossing easier for pedestrians.
It is even illegal to park in front of your own drive, although if there were no other restrictions you would be unlucky to get a ticket.
