price of double glazed window/glass

i have a steamed up double glazed window in my porch roughly 3feet by 4 feet i asked for a quote for glass and it was 166 pound i though that was rather much anybody had one replaced recently? the price included fitting

Most of the price will be coming out to you and spending the time fitting it, then.

I believe you can get double glazing units on line. Might be worth a try. Make sure the measurement is accurate!!

Our price for local (3 mile radius) would be around �140, remember someone has to come out to measure, return to fit, and get rid of the old one, it is not a difficult job as long as you know how your particular unit is fitted, ie knock in bead, or wedge, if you do it your self dont forget the overall thickness of the units are different, if the unit is next to the door it will need to be in saftey glass, or if unit is below 80cm from floor.
